20 Something Girl

I was at Disneyland a couple of days ago and a woman stopped me. At first I thought I had dropped something or had somehow gotten in her way. It turned out that she wanted me to meet her daughter who also had A.B.S. I was delighted to meet the girl if for nothing else to show her she wasn’t alone.

It was a full circle moment for me. When I was her age, I had never seen anyone else like me, and I know how important that it is to have someone to relate to. That moment confirmed everything that I want to do, and reminded me of why I’m here. I want to show people that the only true limitations are the ones that we place on ourselves. I want to teach children who are born different, that can dream just as big as everyone else and that the world is full of possiblities. It’s time for me to walk some talk.
